Meet our Wonderful Educators

Karen Szabo: Kindergarten Teacher and Director.

Karen has worked at Canterbury Norwood Kindergarten for over 20 years and is the mother of 4 children. She is passionate about the early years, not just as a precursor for school but for the development of confidence, individuality and the skills appropriate for the age level.

Karen plays the piano and the children enjoy a rich and varied music program that involves songs, instruments and dance.

Lily Li: Education Assistant 4 Year-old group

Lily brings a warmth and positive energy to the Kindergarten. She is the mother of two teenage boys and has been working in early childhood education for over 10 years. Lily’s native language is Mandarin Chinese and she also speaks Japanese.

Lily is an amazing oral storyteller and loves to encourage the children to use their imaginations in developing their own stories.

Lee Mohtaji: Lunchtime and Relieving Assistant

Lee brings a vibrancy and liveliness to the Kindergarten.  Her many talents include master balloon animal shaper, acrobat extraordinaire and sometime magician.  She is fluent in Mandarin and loves bringing joy to the children.

Seenal Sutariya: Education Assistant 3 Year-old group

We are excited to welcome Seenal to the Canterbury Norwood family in 2022 working with the Caterpillar gtoup. Seenal has been working in Children’s services for almost 9 years and currently studying a Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood to pursue her dream to become an Early Childhood Teacher.

Her favourite activities to do with children are music and movement, playing group games and art and craft experiences. She loves surrounded by children because of their imagination, innocence, enthusiasm and curiosity.

In her spare time Seenal like to explore new places, going for bushwalking and spending time with her family.
